We  understand some people are interested in what a church believes, what its mission and purpose are, and what its vision for the future is.  What is New Chapel all about?

New Chapel is about being a loving and gracious example of Jesus Christ to all we come in contact with.  We feel this is summed up in our mission, purpose, and vision statements.  

Mission

Our mission is to see lives transformed for God, build Christian community, and to serve others in the name of Christ.

Purpose

Our purpose is to worship God wholly, grow spiritually, and serve others completely.

Vision

Our vision is to reach people and change communities in the name of Christ.

Why are these important to us?

These are important to us because we at New Chapel believe that every person is uniquely made and loved by God, God has a plan for every person's life, and that we must discover, develop, and live out that plan everyday.  Our mission, purpose, and vision statements serve as a guide to help us become the people and community of faith that God wants us to be. 

 

 How do we do this?

Worship God

It is during times of worship that we believe our lives are transformed. At New Chapel, our primary time of worship is done as a community of faith on Sunday with positive, relevant, and Biblical preaching, a blend of contemporary and traditional music, prayer, and encouraging fellowship, Also, we worship by celebrating God's blessings through our tithes and offerings and participating in God's sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion. We consider our worship to God to be a lifestyle, done every day, both inside and outside of the Church building.

Grow Your Life

We rely on various forms of spiritual formation at New Chapel to give God an opportunity to grow our lives. We understand this only happens by God's grace through the power of God's Holy Spirit at work in our lives. We believe that God can take you from where you are now to an enriched relationship with Jesus Christ through our small group interactions, Bible studies, and other specialty ministries, which we believe builds a deeply committed Christina community.

Serve the World

We feel that service to Christ is an important part of a balanced spiritual life. At New Chapel, we believe that we are called to follow Jesus' servant example and to reach people for Christ in our homes, our church, our community, our Nation, and our World.  For more information see our Ministries section.

Driving Directions

From I-24:   take exit 24, turn right at the top of the ramp, go approximately 9 miles towards Springfield, TN, and New Chapel Church will be on your left.

From Springfield, TN courthouse:  head west on Hwy 49, approximately 2.5 miles towards Pleasant View, TN and New Chapel church will be on your right.
